Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Manager to lead and manage a Department of Defense (DoD) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of program objectives, maintaining compliance with DoD standards, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of DoD regulations, and the ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of DoD programs, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and program objectives.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Oversee program performance, including technical, schedule, cost, and financial metrics.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for DoD clients and stakeholders.
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring clear communication and high levels of satisfaction.
- Facilitate regular program reviews and updates with DoD stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations and standards, including cybersecurity and quality assurance requirements.
- Team Management:
- Lead a cross-functional team of project managers, engineers, and support staff.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Program Execution:
- Define and establish program baselines, ensuring all team members are aligned with program goals.
- Monitor and control program scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring successful program delivery.
- Develop and implement program-specific processes, procedures, and tools.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver program reports, presentations, and documentation as required by DoD clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive program records and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Business Development Support:
- Support business development activities by identifying new opportunities within the DoD sector.
- Contribute to proposal development and capture management efforts for new and recompete contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners within the DoD community.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or advanced degree preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in a program management role within the DoD sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale DoD programs, including experience with program financials and contract management.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD regulations, acquisition processes, and program management best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Clearance:
- Active DoD Secret clearance required (Top Secret preferred).
