Technovative Applications is seeking a manufacturing/production manager responsible for overseeing all aspects of a manufacturing process, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and on time by planning schedules, managing resources, monitoring quality control, and coordinating with different teams to meet production goals while staying within budget and adhering to safety regulations; essentially, they are responsible for optimizing the entire production process to deliver high-quality products consistently. This role requires the ability to transition from building prototypes to low rate production of large complex ground based radars.
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Production planning and scheduling: Creating detailed production plans, setting timelines, and assigning tasks to meet production targets.
Resource management: Overseeing the allocation and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency.
Quality control: Implementing and monitoring quality standards throughout the production process to ensure product consistency.
Cost control: Tracking production costs related to labor, materials, and overhead to identify areas for cost reduction.
Performance monitoring: Analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Staff supervision: Hiring, training, and managing production personnel.
Equipment maintenance: Ensuring proper maintenance and repair of production machinery to minimize downtime.
Safety compliance: Enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Communication and collaboration: Coordinating with other departments like sales, purchasing, and engineering to ensure smooth production flow.
Reporting and analysis: Generating reports on production metrics to inform decision-making.
Basic Qualifications:
US citizen, capable of qualifying for secret clearance
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with other team members
Planning and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Progressive manufacturing leadership experience and responsibility.
Aerospace and/or Automotive experience
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a combination of appropriate related work experience and education/training.
15 + years of relevant work experience
