Cybersecurity Specialist & Facility Security Officer (FSO)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist & Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee cybersecurity operations and ensure compliance with government security regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in information security, risk management, and government security protocols, playing a dual role in protecting both digital and physical assets.

Cybersecurity Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
  • Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and security audits
  • Manage security tools such as firewalls, SIEMs, and endpoint protection
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, RMF, and other cybersecurity frameworks
  • Provide security awareness training to employees
  • Support incident response and disaster recovery planning
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of access controls and identity management

FSO Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)
  • Maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Manage personnel security clearances (e-QIP, JPAS/DISS)
  • Conduct security training and briefings for cleared personnel
  • Oversee visitor control, document control, and classified material handling
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for classified programs
  • Ensure facility security measures meet federal regulations
  • Support security audits and assessments

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or facility security
  • CISSP, Security+, CEH, or other security certifications preferred
  • Experience with NIST, RMF, and other security frameworks
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and FSO duties
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • United States citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a government contracting environment
  • Knowledge of Insider Threat Program (ITP) management
  • Familiarity with Continuous Monitoring and Industrial Security practices
